Indian Council of World Affairs Godrej is closely associated with the ICWA, with the late Mr. S. P. Godrej also serving as the Chairman of the Mumbai Branch. The aims and objectives of the ICWA are to promote the study of Indian and international questions through research and discussion, to publish books, monographs and periodicals on these subjects, to arrange conferences, seminars and lectures to discuss these problems, and to build a library at its Head Office in Delhi for research and reference.
Save Mumbai to Help India Save Mumbai to Help India has always been Godrej's credo, because about one-third of the country's revenue is derived from this megapolis. Godrej have contributed to beautifying this city, which through ever-increasing population pressure, is undergoing degradation. In Mumbai, where more than 12.5 million people live in intense congestion, every patch of greenery, every tree is a symbol of hope that all is not yet lost. Trees are so much a part of the Godrej culture that in the concrete jungle of Mumbai, the commercial capital of India, three 'giant' bonsais stand on the 7th floor terrace of Godrej Bhavan, the Company's Head Office. |
